By day, I work as a data scientist at Discord, building products that help people connect. Over the years, I've had the chance to work across entertainment, gaming, and live streaming. Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time scuba diving or working towards my next certification. I love planning dive trips, learning new skills, and exploring different underwater landscapes: from coral reefs to historic shipwrecks. I also enjoy illustrating food on my iPad, and occasionally lose myself in a Nintendo game for a few weeks. („• ֊ •„)
I believe writing is the best way to close the gaps in my thinking. Whenever an experience or question stays with me longer than expected, I usually find myself writing about it.
I've been keeping a journal since 2022, documenting everything from dive trips and books to films, games, and unexpected lessons from everyday life. Some entries remain private, while others eventually find their way here. This is a collection of some of those reflections.
I started to learn Procreate in 2020 as a pandemic hobby and quickly fell into the process of experimenting: different illustration styles, brushes, blending techniques, and color palettes. Over time, I found myself drawn to watercolor textures and food-themed illustrations. I also have a Pinterest board that collects some early exploration work in different art styles.
I picked up my FUJI X-M5 on a trip to Tokyo in 2025. This is a visual diary of moments from Singapore and Japan, chasing color palettes and quiet scenes.
